SPARTAN AR charges $80.00 to complete your complete AR build from the bottom up, and that includes head-spacing, test-firing and return shipping. If we find you have a bad part, we won't try to up-sell you on anything, we'll just let you know of the problem and replacement part cost (our cost). Everything will be built and torqued to required specs. If you're using a standard gas-block we recommend spending $30.00 for an adjustable block. Otherwise, send us quality parts and we'll send you a quality build. And we can ship directly back to you (no FFL) if the lower is already in your name.
With the availability of low cost and high quality custom parts,, building your own AR from the ground up is all the latest craze. Many people find they can piece-mill their perfect AR15 a bit at a time, finding sales or group buys on quality parts until everything is in hand. Unfortunately, many can't seem to get the build going, They often find they simply don't have the 3 Ts for a build; Time, Tools and Talent.
After your first few builds you can knock one out in the garage in about 30 minutes. That's if you have the AR15 assembly tool kit, torque wrenches, crow's feet torques, punch pin sets, vices, head-spacing gauges, etc. After you build 10 ARs, all the tools pay for themselves. Build only 1 and you have a couple of hundred extra dollars tied up in one-time tools.
What do you do when the gas block tube hole isn't deep enough, or the inside is not reamed properly? What about when your barrel gas port has burrs inside the barrel and isn't to spec diameter? How about bending a gas tube or having springs fly loose across the shop? How do you headspace? Where do you test fire? How do you ensure proper torque specs on the handguard and flash suppressor? If your bolt won't lock open where do you start looking for a solution? You get the point.. Many unexpected things can start happening.
